Apa itu Thanaka?
Yellowish-white cosmetic paste made from ground bark. It is a distinctive feature of Myanmar seen commonly applied to the face and sometimes the arms of women and girls and to a lesser extent men and boys. The use of thanaka has also spread to neighboring countries including Thailand (Wikipedia)

Kelebihan Thanaka?
Apart from cosmetic beauty, thanaka also gives cooling sensation and provide protection from sunburn.
It is believe to remove acne and promote smooth skin. It is also an anti-fungal. The active ingredients of thanaka are courmarin and marmesin. (Wikipedia)
Bagaimana menggunakan Thanaka?
On the water-wetted rubbing stone, grind as much bark from the Thanaka log*) as required. In doing so, place the piece of wood horizontally on the rubbing stone. Depending on the amount of water, a more or less homogenous paste is produced. Apply this paste to cleaned facial and/or other skin areas. The color will turn slightly yellowish which, however, neither affects your complexion nor textiles of any kind. (Golden Rock)
